Pleasant US Pattern Arriving, Including Texas Finally Cooling
September 11, 2023: National demand eased to moderate levels over the weekend as most of the US cooled into the perfect highs of upper 60s to 80s, where they will remain this week as weather systems track through w/showers. The far southern US remains hot w/highs of 90s and 100s, although much of Texas will cool into the 80s to mid-90s after Monday, breaking 2+ months of extreme heat, where highs have consistently been in the mid-90s to 110°F. The weekend weather data maintains an exceptionally comfortable US pattern for the 6-15-day period as most of the US experiences highs of 60s to 80s, and with limited coverage of highs into the 90s, for light to very light national demand. Long-range weather maps also maintain a very comfortable and bearish US pattern October 1-7. What will soon be of great interest is how large the weekly build for September 15-21 is since this will help determine if builds this shoulder season will reach or exceed 100 Bcf, which our data suggests there’s potential for.
